Inari Sho [www.inari-art.com]
Inari is a wonderful artist and even sent me some images that have been
incorporated into my site design. Thank you so much! This site is certainly
worth your time.
Foxtrot's Guide to Kitsune Lore [www.comnet.ca/~foxtrot/kitsune]
I'm slightly hesitant to link to this page, because most of it's information
is either made up or simply wrong, as far as scholarly thinking goes.
The guide, however, is a good place to get some general information,
and is great if you just need some neat stuff for a story or game. Foxtrot
has also recently posted the entire Guide in .PDF form!
Kitsune Xerion [www.dark-kitsune.com]
Another attempt at the same thing as Kitsune.org, but it contains more
original information than you'll find here. Please go and read the stories
here, which include commentary!
Kitsune No Yume [www.fox-dream.com]
The Foxes Dream is the personal site of K. Schultz. The site, however,
has a great section dedicated to Kitsune information, including a fledgling
page that has instances of Kitsune in Anime. What a great idea!
The Kitsune Page [www.coyotes.org/kitsune]
"Welcome to the Kitsune Page, a resource web site for those wishing
to explore kitsune myth and other legends and information concerning
foxes. Lest that sound a little too businesslike, this web page is mostly
to give my mate and I an excuse to peruse the dustier corners of various
libraries looking for cool stories. "
Ozy and Millie
Ozy and Millie is a wonderful webcomic about two young foxes. D.C. Simpson,
the brilliant creator of Ozy and Millie describes the strip as "Wisdom
for short attention spans". That will do quite well.
SpellShocked [http://ss.delyria.com/]
A comic Book style web comic about a young dragon attending a school
of magic. He is living his dreams and everything would be going well,
if it weren't for his roommate, a technologically inclined fox with
a lot of energy and not much tact.
The Oz Foxes Web Page [www.ozfoxes.com]
"This is the Web home of R&M Creative Endeavors. Here you will
find examples of our writing and artwork, as well as lots of material
relating to one of our favorite animals, the fox."
Faux Pas [www.ozfoxes.com/fauxpas.htm]
Done by the same people who run the Oz Foxes page. Another web comic
featuring a fox. The art is reminiscent of Disney's style, and the story
is light-hearted. This is another great comic, and new strips three
times a week!
Fox Forest [www.foxforest.com/]
"This is an educational site dedicated to the often misunderstood
red fox. You'll discover how they live, the challenges they face, and
how they overcome them."
Kitsune, Kumiho, Huli Jing -Fox Spirits in Asia, and Asian
Fox Spirits in the West
[http://academia.issendai.com/fox-index.shtml]
This beautiful site is not to be missed! It contains wonderful information
of foxes from China and Japan, and a bit from Korea. The information
here provided insight into the world of the literary fox, and they have
a bibliography! If you only visit one fox related web site, make it
this one! Also, they have a polite admonishment about my lack of Japanese
Kitsune stories... I will Gambatte!
